This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends - Thanks to Jen from http://www.crazy-for-books.com/
This weeks question: "How do you spread the word about your blog?
(e.g. Social Networking sites, Book Blog Directories, comments on other blogs...)"
The few months I've been blogging have really been a discovery into the world of blogging! I joined Book Blogs and eventually Goodreads, for example. I used to Tweet about whatever interested me, and I began using that to announce when I had a new post out. More than anything, it helps to be seen commenting on other blogger's posts. I also got my husband to put it on his facebook page :D, but can still up my facebook publicity via my page too.
I noticed that some blogs have comment boxes that show your latest post by default - what a great idea! What do you think about adding your blog/website to your email signature? I'm thinking of doing that! Is it too presumptous? Ideas?
Earlier this week - I launched a contest with an International Giveaway!!, Celebrated Banned Books Week and had a Guest Post at I just wanna sit here and Read.
Happy HOP.I guess my main thing is doing the weekly memes. It gives me an opportunity to visit peoples sites and have them visit mine. Hope you enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteCome HOP by my blog and visit
You know, I often wonder about what is "too much" too... like, does participating in too many memes bug people? Would more than one or two reviews a week bug people? Does posting my link in blog hops bug people?! I have no idea!!!
ReplyDeleteI use pretty much all the same sites you do though, except facebook, haven't done that yet!
Check out my Blog Hop, Follow Friday and Giveaway!
Great blog. I love that fact that you are playing up the ebook realm. I read more books on my NOOK more then ever.

Just hoppin' on by! <3
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of adding my blog to my signature for e-mails, but I felt worried because I wasn't sure whether that's well-received in a book-blogging community.
My hop :3

ReplyDeleteHopping through. You asked how to put a review on Goodreads. There should be a link for any book that says add my review or something like that. I just paste my review into the box there.

Happy Hopping.

ReplyDeleteHey Deepali...just hopping back to say hello! It's so crazy that it's already October haha
ReplyDeleteAs for this week's question, I don't really spread the word of my blog all that much. I tweet, but my facebook is my personal facebook account. I pretty much just try to interact with other bloggers and spread the word that way :)
Interesting reading all these posts on how we spread the word of our blogs - I like to visit other blogs and if they choose to return my visit that is all to the good.
ReplyDeleteI think its a great idea to mention your blog with your personal email address only. From a work standpoint though, I think it is inappropriate to do so.
ReplyDeleteAlso, wanted to clarify that I believe your husband on his own publicised your blog on his facebook page ;)
