Introducing: Charlotte from Lit Addicted Brit
Favourite recent read: 'No and Me' by Delphine de Vigan
My eReader: A Sony eReader Touch Edition
About Charlotte: I've recently taken up a job as a lawyer after a LOT of studying to get here so every day is frantic, hardwork and intense but I lOVE it!! I usually start out by commuting to the city from my village and get to squeeze in 45 minutes of reading. I work quite long hours so it's all work until I commute back and manage to indulge in a book for 45 minutes on the way back! Most evenings I just enjoy being at home with my boyfriend of four hours, reading and blogging and ignoring housework!! At the weekends, I'm a sucker for a big comfy chair, big fire and long hours curled up with a book - big surprise! :-)

Q1: If your e-reader could have one magic feature, what would it be? (Top of Wishlist)
I love my Sony eReader but sometimes I really wish it had an optional backlight. It’s perfect during the day when there’s plenty of light and the screen is perfect then but it would top it off if I could switch on a backlight once it’s dark so I can carry on reading without having to resort to the old touch-under-the-duvet style!
OR that it had a wireless function so I could buy books while I’m out and about and read them straight away without having to rush back to my laptop. Although I suppose that wouldn’t help my ‘To Read’ list at all…I know new readers are going that way though so that’s probably a wish for my next reader if, heaven forbid, anything happened to this one!
Q2: Did you consider other readers in the market? Why did you pick this one?
I considered the Sony Reader Pocket Edition, the Sony Touch Reader and the Kindle (although I can’t remember which version it was that I was looking at). What swung it for me in the end were a couple of things.

I considered the Sony Reader Pocket Edition, the Sony Touch Reader and the Kindle (although I can’t remember which version it was that I was looking at). What swung it for me in the end were a couple of things.
First, and mainly, I was a little miffed about the thought of only being able to buy from Amazon with the Kindle– my Sony means I can download books via the local libraries site (that terminate automatically to avoid fines!) or any website I fancy.
Second, I love the touch screen on mine – it means I can scribble notes on the screen or highlight (or loads of other things I wouldn’t DREAM of doing to a “real” book) with a nifty little pen-thing.
Q3: When do you read a paper book and when do you pick up an ebook?
I mostly tend to go with ebooks now, I must admit, for both convenience and space. Our study is jam-packed and until I get my dream library, I just can’t keep adding to it at the rate I was. I also love how light my little reader is and the fact that I can read with one hand and that my arms don’t get tired from holding up hefty paperbacks (a la ‘Pillars of the Earth’) and my handbags/posture don’t get ruined from lugging them around.
Having said that, I still buy and read paperbacks of series I’ve already started buying (eg. The Wheel of Time series) or favourite authors whose books I want to “collect” and may want to force on others or older books that I really fancy but can’t find reasonably priced ebook versions of. I’ll never buy hardcover books anymore but then, I never really did that before!

I didn't even know Sony had a touch edition e-reader! I originally had a Sony Pocket version, but I wasn't all that happy with it, so I sold it and bought a Nook, which I love!
