Day 3 |
The baby arrived earlier than the due date, and has taken up all available time since then.
He is now a couple of weeks old, and with a lot of help at home, I should be able to return to regular blog posts soon.
Here is a pic of Aaryan (our son's name). I am now reading a couple of books, so expect reviews to go up starting tomorrow. Meanwhile, thanks for sticking by my blog, and continuing to follow- I appreciate your comments and views very much!
P.S. Any books you recommend on Childcare and Parenting? :D
Congrats to you, the young mama and your son!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable :) Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! He is the perfect reason for an absence! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, your son is beautiful :D
ReplyDeleteAw, he is so cute! congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! I realized later that this pic isn't really clear (Cellphone camera), and the lighting is pretty bad too..still, its what I had at hand, and I don't get enough time at my computer these days to do a proper search for a decent pic :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats Deepali! He is still awesome, inspite of the bad camera :P.I have been impressed by what I've heard of ' A thousand days of wonder' - A scientist's chronicle of his daughter's first 1000 days. You might find it interesting to read about their brain development and stuff :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy parenting! :D

He's absolutely beautiful! I miss them at that age. Okay, okay, not the up half the night thing, but still! Read and learn, but never forget to trust your gut. You know your child better than anyone. Have a great day...and give a little sniff and nibble to those baby toes. I love smelly new baby toes.

@Sunanda - will try to get the book off flipkart! Thanks :)
ReplyDelete@Mina - Thanks :) baby toes? *must admit I haven't yet smelled his toes :D *
Congratulations, Deepali! Aaryan is beautiful. :) My boy is 8 months old now and it's hard to remember how he looked at 3 days!
ReplyDeleteI haven't really been reading any parenting books, but the River Cottage Baby & Toddler Cookbook has become my bible - the first 100 pages tells you everything you wanted to know and more about introducing solid food, but that wouldn't be very helpful for you right now! Though the recipes are dead easy, perfect when you've got a new baby and little time and energy to cook. I just got Bringing Up Bebe, haven't read it yet but I'm curious.
@Shannon - Bringing up bebe is one of those books I wanted to read too, along with another book on parenting in different countries...
